Diving cenotes near PDC, Mexico

montage of cenote diving imagesA few snaps of my last cenote diving trip near Playa Del Carmen. Cenotes are caverns, not caves. Still, you’re often diving single file through very narrow, confined spots. Not really my cuppa.

Here’s a posting from a ‘cave’ dive I did in 2016 at the Chandelier Cave in Palau (near the Philippines). Didn’t really enjoy it.

The PDC trip a few months later was meant to be my cenote diving finale. I’m attracted to and repelled by it at the same time. Are there more of these dives in my future? I really don’t know.
